NEWS:

Last week Bootsy Collins announced his first new album in five years, 'Tha Funk Capitol of the World,' and took NAMM in Anaheim by storm.

The LA Times reported, "Funk music icon Bootsy Collins, dressed in a magnificent tie-dyed-style psychedelic suit and matching felt top hat, signed autographs and posed for happy snaps with conventioneers." The Times later spotted him handing out with surf guitar legend Dick Dale.

Bootsy was at NAMM repping Seymour Duncan guitar pickups, which he used while recording 'Tha Funk Capitol of the World.' The album features an unbelievable lineup of stars, including P-Funkers George Clinton and Bernie Worrell, plus rappers Snoop Dogg, Chuck D, and Ice Cube; actor Samuel L. Jackson; banjo phenom Bela Fleck; the Rev. Al Sharpton; scholar Dr. Cornel West; and guitarists Buckethead and Catfish Collins - Bootsy's lare brother.
